about red humpy design

A red humpy is type of fly used for flyfishing. (There is also a green humpy, blue humpy, black humpy and yellow humpy.) The red humpy is a stimulator fly, used to attract fish with the bright red color and stimulate them to take the hook.

With graphic design, whether for web or print, the goal of the designer is to attract an audience and to stimulate a particular action or response. For this reason, the red humpy fly was chosen to represent the goal of Natalie Carpenter's web and print design company. Her favorite fly is the red humpy because it delivers results. Your web site and print material should also attract your audience, invoke a response and deliver results.

about natalie carpenter

After studying Electrical Engineering at California State University Long Beach, Natalie Carpenter made Pagosa Springs her home in 1993. She enjoyed ten years at Radio Shack of Pagosa Springs and started her own consulting company in 1996. With a life-long interest in computers, science and technology, her services have included computer repair and tutoring, editing, publishing and web and print design. She recently focused her wide range of web research to study how businesses use online tools to stay competitive in a fast-changing digital world.

Natalie's additional passion is design. Although she has been creating original web designs and print material since 1995, she achieved a new inspiration for business design in 2004 after reading a book by designer Stefan Sagmeister. Sagmeister's book, Made You Look, chronicles his designs that touch something in the heart and mind of the intended audience. The book helped Natalie realize that her path of art and technology would go hand-in-hand to deliver a business message in creative ways. Her print ads and flyers are meant to stand out from the crowd, and her beautiful and technologically modern web sites are custom designed for the businesses she works with.

Natalie is the owner of Red Humpy Design and provides technology consulting, web development and print design to businesses of all sizes. She is currently the Web Coordinator for Parelli Natural Horsemanship, an international horse training education company based in Pagosa Springs.
